ADHD Learning Tools for Families
Russel Barkely, PhD, discusses ADHD tooltips for families to use in their everyday life.
AGAPE
“AGAPE is a nondenominational, faithbased mission to serve the people in our area. Our goal is to “fill in the gaps” which currently exist between people in need, and the community services available to assist them. We refuse to allow good people to fall through cracks in the systems that were designed to help them.”
They provide listing for need based items such as foodbanks, shelter, addition services, legal services, and much more.
Administration for Community Living
ACL advocates across the federal government for older adults, people with disabilities, and families and caregivers; funds services and supports provided primarily by states and networks of communitybased programs; and invests in training, education, research, and innovation. We manage a variety of programs (authorized by several statutes), providing assistance on health and wellness, protecting rights and preventing abuse, supporting consumer control, strengthening the networks of communitybased organizations, funding research, and much more.

Advance Care Planning

EMDRIA
“Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy is an integrative psychotherapy approach that has been extensively researched and proven effective for the treatment of trauma. EMDR is a set of standardized protocols that incorporates elements from many different treatment approaches. As EMDR is a mental health intervention, it should only be offered by properly trained and licensed mental health clinicians.”

Mindfulness Exercises
Do you experience a desire to live more mindfully? It’s an increasingly common feeling. There’s a worldwide trend that many of us have felt the effects of, even if we can’t quite put our finger on what’s happening. We rely more upon technology. We spend more hours at work, or commuting to and from our office. We’re less active, or we eat more processed food. We get less time with our families. All of these things are part and parcel of a modern lifestyle, and they can leave us feeling distant and detached from our true selves.
A compiled resources to guide you on the path to a more mindful and happier life. There are hundreds of mindfulness ebooks available, absolutely free of charge.
National Disability Rights Network
The National Disability Rights Network (NDRN) is the nonprofit membership organization for the federally mandated Protection and Advocacy (P&A) Systems and the Client Assistance Programs (CAP) for individuals with disabilities. P&As and CAPs work to improve the lives of people with disabilities by guarding against abuse; advocating for basic rights; and ensuring accountability in health care, education, employment, housing, transportation, and within the juvenile and criminal justice systems.
